Terms of use

The basics

By using MMD Studio ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials and API tokens secure.
• One account per person. Don't share accounts.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or DDoS the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or hammer the API beyond your plan's rate limits.
• Probe for vulnerabilities, exploit bugs, or attempt unauthorized access to other users' data.
• Use the Service to store or distribute illegal content.
• Circumvent plan limits, billing, or access controls.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

Your data

• You own your diagrams. We don't claim any rights to your content.
• You grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your diagrams solely to operate the Service (syncing, sharing, rendering).
• You can delete your diagrams at any time. You can request full account deletion by emailing support@mmd.studio.

Paid plans

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase granting access to Pro features for the life of the Service.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Email us.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We're not liable for downtime, data loss, or any damages arising from your use of the Service.

Discontinuation

We reserve the right to discontinue the Service at any time. If we do:

• We will give at least 30 days' notice via the email on your account.
• We will email you an export of all your diagrams (Mermaid source files) so your data is not lost.
• Active Pro subscribers will receive a prorated refund for any remaining time on their billing period.
• Lifetime plan holders acknowledge that "lifetime" refers to the life of the Service, not an indefinite guarantee.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MMD Studio and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
